Job Brief

is looking for a creative and motivated Videographer Intern to help document and promote the Centre’s initiatives, events, and community programs through engaging video content.

The ideal candidate is passionate about storytelling, community impact, and digital media, and is capable of capturing and editing professional-quality video content for social media, campaigns, and organizational promotion.

Responsibilities

  • Capture and produce video content for Islam Care Centre initiatives and programs.
  • Film and edit videos for community programs, events, and outreach initiatives.
  • Create engaging short-form and long-form content for social media platforms.
  • Assist with planning video shoots, storyboarding, and creative direction.
  • Support media coverage of events and community activities.
  • Organize and maintain video equipment and media files.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop creative promotional content.

  • Community outreach and support programs
  • Educational and dawah initiatives
  • Friday prayer and community event coverage
  • Volunteer and charitable activities
  • Seasonal and special event campaigns
  • Community clean-up and service initiatives

Requirements

  • Working on earning or having earned a post-secondary degree.
  • Must own and operate a camera suitable for professional-quality video recording.
  • Experience with videography and video editing.
  • Familiarity with editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Experience creating content for social media platforms.
  • Knowledge of Canva Pro is an asset.
  • Photography and graphic design skills are a plus.
  • Basic understanding of lighting, audio, and composition.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Google Drive and Mail, in particular).
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • A creative mind with the ability to suggest improvements.
